    1. What kind to get is hard to say. The variable filter like I use could range from $80 to $400 (that’s my guess) but you can get other types for much less. The cheaper ones are just one shade of gray, or at a certain “stop” which means they reduce the exposure by that certain stop. Cokin and Hoya are popular brands but I would suggest you visit Foto Art or Parsons and ask about them.
